William Jay Senters

William Jay Senters, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at a healthcare facility. Mr. Senters worked as a supervisor at Coppinger Color Lab for 20 years before becoming a drill press operator at Bendix. He also was a professional violin builder, an artist, and he enjoyed Fishing and arrowhead hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Dorothy Senters; and son, Terry Griffith Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Senters of Cleveland, TN; children, Anitra Murphy and husband, Andy of Senoia, GA, and Christy Critchfield and husband, Jim of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Erika Nagel and husband, Steve, David Partian, Jamey Critchfield and wife, Sabrina, Cole Critchfield and wife, Allie, Will Critchfield and fiancé, Carla Welch, Adrianna Murphy, and Andrew Murphy; 9 great-grandchild; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Joy Miller of Cleveland, and Judy Chapman of Cleveland; brother, Gifford Senters of Cleveland, and several nieces and nephews also survived.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Judson Kirkpatrick officiating. Pallbearers include, Andy Murphy, David Partain, Jim Critchfield, Jamey Critchfield, Cole Critchfield, Will Critchfield, and serving as honorary pallbearer will be, Roy Kerr.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home on Friday, April 23, 2021.
