William “Kenny” Kenneth Rogers, Sr., 75, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 in a local hospital. He was a 25-year retired Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Peyton’s for 21 years before retiring from there. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Claudia Rogers; parents, Walker “Duck” Rogers and Beatrice Rogers; one sister; and six brothers.
He is survived by his son, William “Billy” Kenneth Rogers, Jr. of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Kayla Rogers, Nikki Moreno, and Jasmine Rogers; and five great-granddaughters.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Sentell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors, a white dove release ceremony, and the playing of bagpipes concluding the service. The service will be live-streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home’s Facebook page for you to view.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
