William Kenneth Cupit

William Kenneth “Kenny” Cupit, 63, of Ocoee, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was an accomplished Master Carpenter who could turn a few boards and nails into a work of art, which wasn’t complete until he signed it with his signature spider web. He was most content sitting in his yard on the swing, listening to an old country song, strumming his guitar, and taking in the simple beauty of nature. His heart was full of love and care for each and every one of his family members, and he was dearly loved and cared for by them in return.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, A.W. Cupit and Lela Mae Grant Cupit, and his twin brothers, Matthew Lynn and Mark Lane Cupit.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tammy Collins and Sarah Cupit; grandchildren Westin Martinez, Chase Cupit, and Keenan Cupit; siblings Anita (Jason) Richardson of Covington, LA, Barbara Curtis of Cleveland, Shirley (Harry) Curry of Lucedale, MS, James “Gordon” Cupit of Ocoee, Carolyn (John) Eagan of Cleveland, Lela “Denise” (Tom) Griffin of Welaka, FL, Donald Cupit of River Ridge, LA, and Sherry (Daniel) Davenport of Cleveland; his very special great niece “Saber Sue” Merritt of Lucedale, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Grant and Reverend Mike Wallen officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Shed Cemetery with Robert Cannatella, Daniel Curtis, Dan Davenport, Daniel Davenport, Tom Griffin, and Jason Richardson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Saber Merritt. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home’s Facebook page for those unable to attend.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
