Willard Carroll

Willard Carroll, age 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Cleveland, TN.  He was a deacon at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church for over fifteen years.  An avid Lady Vols fan and golfer, he also coached Little League Baseball and YMCA Basketball.  Yet his greatest love was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Beck Carroll, his parents, Dewey and Froney (Davis) Carroll; his brothers, Wildon Carroll and Harold Gibson; his sisters, Eunavee Vollmar, Billie Aaron, and Pauline Carroll.

He is survived by his son, Tony Carroll and wife Darlene of Cartersville, GA; his son, Dennis Carroll and wife Karen of Cleveland, TN; his grandchildren: Brittany Mowery and husband Josh; Heather Henderson and husband, Travis; Jonathan Carroll and wife Holly, Heath Carroll and wife Megan, and Michaela Park; his great grandchildren: Andrew, Jenna, Cooper, Micah, Maddox, Beckham, and McKinley, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Cheathem and the Rev. Mike Wallin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 prior to the service at the funeral home.
