Wanda Faye Potter

Wanda Faye Potter, age 85, left this world to enter heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she loved so much on November 20, 2020.

She retired from AT&T Telephone Company as a telephone operator  in Norfolk, VA. with 30 years of service. She left this world surrounded by her family who loved her very much and she will be missed. Wanda was the best sister and a loving aunt.

Wanda is the daughter of the late Nora Perry Traylor and Elmer Eugene Traylor. She is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Potter Jr. of Morristown, Tn., Sisters Melba Laurice and Margie Traylor. Also preceded by special Nieces Faye LaShane Smith and Barbara Maria Eaves.

Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister who loved her very much; a special nephew Rev. Terry Lee Smith, who she loved like a son and wife Jill; a very special and much loved great niece MaKylee Madison Smith; niece Ramona Marie Cochran, John Cochran, and son Joseph Glenn Cochran; nephew Robert Glenn Presswood, wife Lucia and daughter Rachel Elizabeth Presswood; special cousins Sara Lee McNew Huckabee and Barbara Jean Blevins.

A private family graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday November 24, at the Bethesda Cemetery in Morristown, TN., with Rev Terry Lee Smith conducting the service and MaKylee Smith singing her aunts favorite song “Beulah Land.”

A special thanks to everyone at Hospice of Chattanooga and to her nurse, Shannon, who took such good care of her.
