Virginia Jo Woody

Virginia Jo Woody, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cleveland and lived in this area her entire life. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was retired from American Uniform where she worked in a supervisory capacity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Woody; her parents, Joseph and Blanche Varner; two sisters, Willa Dean Varner and Patricia Thomas; a brother, Bill Varner; two half-sisters, Peggy Varner and Judy Varner Morrison; and a sister-in-law, Jo Varner.

She is survived by a brother, Jim Varner of Ocoee; two half-brothers, Tim Varner (Christina) and Darrell Varner (Luann); two half-sisters, Debbie Anderson (James) and Carla Dixon; and two nieces, Vicki Cavett (Jack) and Kim Gregg (Mike).

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel White officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jack Cavett, Jackson Cavett, Jason Cavett, Mike Gregg, James Gregg, and Tim Varner serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family is especially appreciative of her caregivers, Vicki Cavett, Kim Gregg, and the staff of Adoration Hospice.
