Virginia Mae "Carter" Smith

Virginia Mae “Carter” Smith, age 91 of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024. She attended Georgetown Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, E.J. “Smitty” Smith, Jr.; parents, Earl and Annie Marie Carter; sisters, Katherine Roark and Lucille Webb Goodner; infant son, Harold Ted Smith, Grandson; Craig Cannon. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Deborah (Dan) Swafford, Glenda Cannon; sons, Mike (Debbie) Smith, Joe (Lesa) Smith, Brian (Paula) Smith; sister, Anna Belle Collins; grandchildren, Chad Smith, Stacy Smith, Dustin Deal, Summer (Logan) Harbison; Clay (Haven) Keller, Kyle Smith, Henley (Leah) Headrick, Autumn Deal, Ashlynn Deal, Easton Deal, Saylor Harbison, Smith Harbison, Neil Cannon, Toby Smith; special niece and nephew, Jamie (Otis) Davis and Mark (Pam) Goodner. A private graveside service and interment will be held at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenny Isbill officiating.
