Veo Manson Clement, Jr.

October 6, 1954 — April 25, 2020

Manson Clement of Cleveland passed away at his home in Cleveland, TN, on Saturday, April 25, 2020.  Manson’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ assured him that he would go immediately to be with Jesus in the place prepared for him as promised in Scripture.  His family takes great comfort in knowing this to be true.

Manson was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and later moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he met his wife of 41 years. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of Cleveland, son Taylor (Katy), and grandchildren Anderson and Betsy of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by his step-mother, Marnelle Clement, sister Luanne Davis and step-brother David Law. He leaves behind many other loved ones to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his mother Mae Belle Taylor Law, his father, Veo Manson Clement, and his step-father Pascal Law.

Manson greatly loved the Lord, as well as his local church, First Baptist Cleveland. He considered it an honor to serve with the deacons and staff in many capacities over the years. Manson was employed by Tencarva, Inc. in municipal sales, and had many friends and business associates he had met and enjoyed over the years. He also enjoyed watching and attending sporting events with his family and friends.

Services will be held at the church on Thursday, April 30, at 2:00 pm. There will be no visitation prior to the service and seating will be appropriate considering our current healthcare environment.   The service will also be live streamed at www.firstbaptistcleveland.com. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with playing of Bagpipes to conclude the service.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wilds, Fred Carder, Tommy Walker, Benny Kirksey, Wes Smith, Adam Elder.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Generations 2 Fund at First Baptist Church of Cleveland, 1275 Stuart Rd., Cleveland, TN 37312.
