Tony Lester Taylor

Tony Lester Taylor, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at his home in Cleveland, TN. Tony was a member of the Cleveland City Fire Department for 38 years. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, making up songs about his family, eating sweets, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Myra Taylor of Cleveland and his nephew,  Lynn Yoder of Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife Charlene Pennell -Taylor, his children Chris Pennell of Cleveland Jennifer Pennell-Aslinger ( Josh) of Decatur and Jason Pennell (Jenny) of Charleston.  Grandchildren Jacob Pennell, Kate Pennell, Brayden Pennell, Riley Pennell, Callie Pennell, Teagan Pennell, Finley Pennell, Harper Pennell, Ben Hardigree, Alex Hardigree and Peyton Hardigree. His brother Tim Taylor (Ronnie) of Cleveland,  Carl “Bubba” Taylor of  Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Bamba Mowery (Keith) of Calhoun; and Liz Wilcox of Cleveland,  nieces and nephews: Jonathan Keith, Danielle Wilcox, Buck Wilcox, Zack Taylor, Abby Taylor and Rolanda Hardigree (Mike).

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Humbard officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers please make make any charitable donations to:  Junior Achievement of the Ocoee Region.
