Tommye Ruth Roark, a cherished soul who touched the lives of many, was born on September 26, 1938, in the small town of Birchwood, Tennessee. On October 31, 2025, she peacefully departed from this world in Chattanooga, Tennessee, leaving behind a rich legacy woven with love, dedication, and compassion.

Mrs. Roark dedicated more than 45 years of her life to Provident/Cigna Insurance Company, where she served as a manager. Her career was marked by diligence and an unwavering commitment to excellence, qualities that endeared her to colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, lovingly known as Granny and Mimi to those fortunate enough to know her.

A lifelong member of the Birchwood Baptist Church, Mrs. Roark was not only devoted to her faith but also actively participated in the NE Chattanooga Auxiliary Camp of the Gideons, reflecting her desire to serve and uplift her community. For over 30 years, she engaged in the heartfelt work of delivering Avon, fostering connections and friendships with those she met along the way.

Tommye's heart was large enough to embrace many; she is survived by her beloved sisters, Betty L. Prueitt, Alice Glenn and six beloved stepchildren, alongside her cherished adopted family, the Delmottes, who loved and cared for her dearly. She also leaves behind other family members who will forever treasure her memory.

Mrs. Roark's enduring spirit is tempered by the sorrow of loss, as she is predeceased by her devoted husbands, David C. Roark, Karl Rink, her father, Luther Thomas McCallie, her mother, Mamie Elizabeth Cranfield McCallie, her son, Randy McKinney and her brother Neil Lee McCallie Sr,. The absence of these loved ones has undoubtedly left a void in her heart that only a profound love can reflect.
