Thomas “Tom” Jefferson Blackburn, 83 of Delano, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at an Athens hospital. He was retired from Tri State Truss. Tom was a member of Chestuee Worship Center. He loved “cowboy movies” and bluegrass music. Mr. Blackburn was a simple, gentle man with values and morals that thought everything was “very well”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. and Lucy Adams Blackburn; great grandchild, Drew Womack; and sisters, Lucy Shultz and Flo Murningham. Survivors include his wife, Dollie Blackburn of Delano; children, Tommy Blackburn and Debbie (Doug) Keel, all of Delano and Jamie (Sandra) Ledford of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brent (Felisha) Browder, Jeremy Blackburn, Danny Womack, Kari (Billy) Redd, April (Justin) Thomas, Ashley (Chris) Headrick, Chase (Lashonda) Watson, Brad (Lindsey) Watson, Sierra Ledford, and Logan Keel; great grandchildren, Alex, Brynne, Sadie, Madison, Lathan, Myles, Lyncoln, Abby, Ella, Baylee, Peyton, Hope, Blake, Cody, Clari, Dakota, Chole, and Jaxon; three great great grandchildren, Nova, Nollie, and Bria; sister, Lillie Mae Caldwell of Ohio; brother, Jim (Barbara) Blackburn of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and close friends.
