Susan Hill Finnell

Susan Hill Finnell, 56, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at a local hospital.  She was a 1982 graduate of Charleston High School and earned a degree in microbiology from East Tennessee State University in 1986.  She was a lifetime member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.  She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, James (Ronnie) Hill; infant brother, William Robert (Little Rob) Hill; maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Joel  Finnell; children, Harrison Finnell and Katie Finnell; mother, Kathleen (Kay) Hill; sister, Catherine Rakestraw and husband Mike; brother, Jimmy Hill and wife Missy; mother-in-law, Hazel Finnell; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
