Shirley Schlender

Shirley Marie Schlender, 70, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga, TN.  She was a resident of McDonald, TN and a member of Ooltewah Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Mrs. Schlender worked as both a landscaper and caregiver and enjoyed travel and doing missionary work.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Mamie Becker; brother, Earl Becker of Collegedale, TN and sister, Evelyn Payne of Ringgold, GA.

She is survived by her husband Donald Schlender McDonald TN, her son, Daniel Schlender of McDonald TN; brother, Burt Becker of Resaca, GA; sister, Marion and husband Don McConnell of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN with the Rev. Fernando Verduzco officiating.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
