Shirley Bishop

Shirley A. Rayburn Bishop, 82 of Cleveland, TN went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023.

Shirley was born and raised in Cleveland, TN and was a member of Four Point Baptist Church. She proudly raised four children and loved them dearly. Shirley was also the proud grandmother to eight children and great grandmother to four children. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and being out in the sunshine. Shirley was a simple and beautiful soul who is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wayne Bishop; parents, Walter and Catherine Rayburn; sisters, Ruth Ann Johnson and Patsy Cronan.

Survivors include her children: Allen Bishop, Roger Bishop, Jennifer Yoder, and Jeff (Wendi) Bishop; grandchildren: Ryan (Dawn) Bishop, Trey (Kiersten) Bishop, Alayna (Paul) Mitchell, Emily (Michael) Hicks, Bayley (Colton) Scott, Callie Bishop, Kayla Yoder, and Emma Yoder; four great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Ann) Rayburn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13th, 2023 from 9am until the funeral hour at 11am with Pastor Ray Cheathem officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
