Sherry Ann Samples

Sherry Ann “SheShe” Samples, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully, at her residence, on Tuesday, November 10, surrounded by family. She was a Christ follower who attended Stanfield Baptist Church.

Born on July 28, 1939 to Lena and Virgil Young in Charleston, WV, she is lovingly remembered as a generous and devoted wife and mother, and was affectionately known as “SheShe”. She enjoyed being with her family, and was immensely loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed antiquing, decorating, and listening to country and gospel music. After moving from Florida, where she owned an art gallery, Mrs. Samples opened the first antique mall in Cleveland, Uptown Antique Mall. She was known for her big, infectious laugh, and loved without holding back. She truly loved BIG.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Warren N. Samples Sr.;

She is remembered by her loving husband Steve Herndon; sister, Jeanie Hodge; children, Warren “Ike” Samples Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Pamela Samples Hodgson and husband, Neil, Michael Samples and wife, Janni; grandchildren, Wendy Whitlock and husband, Dan, Ashley Clay and husband, Todd, Haley Rouche’ and husband, Matt, Ben Samples and wife, Melissa, Rebekah Samples Henry and husband, Dan, and Michaiah Samples; great-grandchildren, Blake Odum, Jacob McDaniel, Cameron McDaniel, Emery Whitlock, Elon Whitlock, and Annabelle Henry; and great-great grandchildren, Hunter Odum and Luke Odum; and several nieces and nephews also survived.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Chapel. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory.
