Ruth Idella Hicks

Ruth Idella Hicks, age 96, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was born April 20, 1925, in Pendergast, Tennessee, to her parents William and Ethel White. She was a devoted member of Faith Missionary Baptist church for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hicks; son, Darrell Hicks; son in law Donald Reske; and fourteen siblings.

She is survived by her son, Randy Hicks; her daughter, Janice Reske; four grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Bradley Hicks officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens.
