Ruby Nell Carter

Ruby Nell Carter passed away peacefully in her home in Cleveland, TN on Monday, 8/23/2021.  She was 95 years old.  She was originally from Ewing, Virginia, just recently moving to Cleveland to be with her family.  In Ewing, she was a very active church member at her home church, Ingles Chapel United Methodist Church.  She was a Godly woman and read her Bible daily.  She was an avid quilter and had won many awards for her hand-made quilts.  All of her family who now have her handmade quilts, will keep a piece of her close in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, S.Sgt. Charles Edward Carter “Ed” and her parents, Eddie Owen Moore and Myrtle M Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Belinda Carter Lloyd (husband-Russell, deceased) of Cleveland, TN and son, Major Charles D. Carter (wife-Diann) of Athens, GA, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild.
