Ronald Perry Chancey

Ronald Perry Chancey, 81, died peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was a loyal and loved member of the Hopewell Baptist Church since 2006. Ronnie retired after over 50 years in the grocery industry. He loved fishing, golfing, hunting, and woodworking. Camping trips with family were the highlight of his summer for over 40 years. After retirement he and Judy enjoyed traveling and taking road trips with his sister, Linda (Melvin).

He was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Chancey; and was also preceded in death by his siblings, William T. Chancey, Melvin Leroy Chancey, & Alan Chancey.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judeth Chancey; children, Perry (Valerie) Chancey, Anthony (Carlene) Romaella, Brenda (Corey) Kimbrough, Mark (Katrina) Romaella, and Jacob (Charity) Chancey; sister, Linda (Melvin) Lassiter; grandchildren, Amber Chancey, Deanna Chancey, Ronald Chancey III, Ashley (Javier) Galvez, Tabatha (Jared) Vander Weel, Andrea (Jason) Southern, Alicia (David) Wright, Joshua (Cindy) Gates, Brandi (Adam) Love, Clifton (Rosalie) Romaella, Johnathan Woss, Katherine (Harrison) Hammontree, Christian Campbell, Dylan (Kelsie) Chancey, Tiffany (Chris) Pratt, Tailor (Bo) Evans, Alyssa (Dakota) Akins, Cara (Jacob) Chancey; 26 great grandchildren, & several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church on Old Georgetown Rd, Cleveland, TN, on Tuesday, May 27th at 12 p.m. with Reverend Mike Wallin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers include Dylan Chancey, Jarrod Chancey, Jason Chancey, Dakota Akins, Jason Southern, and Shane Southern.

Honorary pallbearers include Jacob Elliott and Garet Southern.
