Robert "Bob" Lee Finnell

Robert (Bob) Lee Finnell, 91, of Ocoee, Tennessee, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 at his home.  He was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church for 55 years and also served as a deacon in the church.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  After retiring from Mills and Lupton, he spent many happy years working on his farm.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rosetta Parker Finnell; parents, Ira Finnell and Kitty Finnell; brothers, Joe Finnell, Rufus Finnell; and sisters, Melba Massengale, Ruby Stepp, and Katherine Elder.

He is survived by his son, Mike (Bonnie) Finnell of Ocoee, TN; five grandchildren, Michael (Jenni) Finnell, Aaron (Vicki) Finnell, Allen (Emily) Stephens, Brittany Finnell, and Avron Finnell, all of Cleveland; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Teague officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes concluding the service.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the funeral home.
