Reba Jean Wooten, age 87, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was born October 18, 1934, in Ocoee, Tennessee.
She was the daughter the late Charlie Jenkins and Beulah Waters Ensley, and the granddaughter of the late Sid and Janie Ensley, all of Cleveland, Tennessee.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Billy Wooten, who she married October 14, 1950. Billy and Reba moved to Elyria, Ohio, where they lived and raised their family for 35 years. They were members of Church of the Open Door. After retirement they returned to Tennessee and settled in Chattanooga, where they attended Brainerd Baptist Church.
Reba enjoyed doing crafts and needlework and going antiquing. She loved flowers and had a talent for creating arrangements. She collected baskets and teddy bears, chickens and bunnies, and loved anything red.
Reba was the mother of Randy (Shirley) Wooten and Lorie (Doug) Watson; grandmother to Jeff Wooten, Julie Wooten Farmer, Jenny Wooten Hendricks (Daniel), Libbey Watson Bono, and Brady Watson; great-grandmother to Emily Farmer, Katie Wooten, Janie Wooten, Alli Hendricks, Bailey Hendricks, Presley Bono and Watson Bono; great-great grandmother to Ella Coleman, Everly Farmer, and Eliza Farmer. She was the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
The family is celebrating her life with a private graveside service.
Reba’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hearth Hospice for their excellent care.
