Nancy Louise Davis Parlier, 73, a lifelong resident of McDonald, TN, passed away February 18, 2022, after a brief illness, in a local hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School in the school’s first graduating class. She retired from M&M Mars after 25 years of service to fulfill her greatest role as “Nanny” which she was affectionately known as by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Lester Parlier, Jr.; her parents, Jack and Josie Davis; sister, Jackie Davis; brother-in-law Joe Kelley; and son in law Tony Jones.
She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Hatmaker and Angee Parlier; grandchildren, Christopher (Katelyn) Sherlin, Nick Hatmaker and Chris (Cheryl) Jones; great grandchildren, Hazelee, Danny and Timmee Sherlin, Rosie and Cohen Jones; brother, Paul (Shirley) Davis; sister Sharon Kelley; several nieces and nephews; and her special pups, Bo and Charlie.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Greg Banther and Pastor Martha “Dusty” Tibbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.
