Nancy Carolyn Howard

May 22, 1944 — March 21, 2020

Nancy Carolyn Oliver Howard, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at her home.  She was of the Baptist faith and loved making bird houses.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd Oliver and Lillian Braddrick Oliver; brothers Neil Oliver and Jessie Oliver.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years Ronald James Howard of Cleveland; children J.R. Halverson (Lucy) of Cleveland, Carla Smith (Tom) of Cleveland, and Rickey Allen Howard (Stephanie) of Cleveland; ten grandchildren survive; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild survives; siblings Ruth DeVaughn of Flora, Illinois, Zollie Oliver (Susan) of Cleveland, and Delores Beck (Terry) of Cleveland; many nieces and nephews also survive.   

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Brooks officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony and playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
