Milford Leroy Lee

SFC Milford Leroy Lee, Sr., age 81, a resident of Albany GA, departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at a hospital in Albany, Ga.

He was born on May 13, 1938 to the late Walter Arden Sr. and Ida Jane Leasure Lee. He was of Christian Faith.

He was a retired Veteran of the Marines and the Army receiving the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5^th), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal also the Republic of Gallantry Cross Medal. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elena Torbert Lee: six brothers Harlan, Ken, Paul, Dallas, Ron, and Walter Lee and four sisters, Merle Lee, Clara Lee, Thelma Varner and Betty Bunner.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Laverne) Lee of Cleveland, Franklin (Carole) Lee of Auburndale, Florida, Duke (Kathi) Harmon of Deltona, Florida, and Phillip (Ana) Lee of Leesburg, Georgia; Grandchildren,  Robie Lee, Violet Lee, Jacquelyn Callaway, Frank Lee, Andrei Lee, Sariah Erickson, Hiro Kambayashi, Hiromi Kambayashi; 4 great-grand children, Alyssa and Taylor Callaway, Gydian and Octavia Erickson . Also two sisters; Jean Mullen and Alice Rice.

A celebration of life and home going will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday January 28, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Coby Goins officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 PM with full military honors.

A white dove release ceremony and playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
