Mary Lee Stokes

February 3, 1951 — June 25, 2021

Mary Lee Stokes, 70, of Birchwood, TN, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 25, 2021 in a Chattanooga hospital.  She was a member of Gamble Road Baptist Church.  Mary Lee lived a life of service, as a Christian, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a Nana, and the best Mama.  She was always caring for other people, and it was her family’s privilege to care for her in return.

Gone ahead were her husband, Coon Stokes; parents, Gabby and Ruby Allison; and brother, Dick Foote.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Dane Stokes and Cecil Stokes; grandson, Boone Stokes; sister, Edwina Morrow; brother, Roy Allison; and nephew, Ruben Allison.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating.  Interment will follow in Holder Memorial Cemetery in Birchwood with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the funeral home and from 10-2 pm on Thursday prior to the service.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Stokes family guestbook at www.ralphbuckner.com.
