Mary Loretta Ledford Ellis

Mary Loretta Ledford Ellis, 88, of Cleveland passed away Monday October 7, 2019 in a local hospital. She attended Mt. Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alice Ledford; step-daughter, Sandra Lee; grandson, Richard Dale Woody and siblings, Max Ledford(Helen), and Lorene Toomey(J.D.).

Survivors include her children, Randy Woody (Mary) of Old Fort, Byron Woody (Anne) of Cleveland and Marvin Woody of Cleveland; grandchildren, Tamera Lanning (Jeff), Randa, Tim Trantham; Ashley Bennewitz (Ty), Emily Lorenzano (Nick); Great grandchildren, McKenzie, Emily and Tucker Lanning, Casey Trantham, Alexander and Landon Lorenzano and Willow Bennewitz. Special friends, Katherine Carver, Margaret Swafford and Drucilla Taylor (neice).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Dill Cemetery with Marty Woody, Robert Taylor, Doug Carver, David Swafford, Benny Burris and Russell Bishop serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
