Mary Martha Green

Mary Martha Bearfield Green, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her residence in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed spending her time singing and painting landscape pictures.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bearfield and Bertha Henson Verner;   daughter, Cathy Collins; and brothers, Carl Bearfield and Arliss Bearfield.

She is survived by four children, Jane Lasley and husband Rick of Soddy Daisy, Mary Ellen Lynn and husband Charles of Cleveland, Susan Hammonds and husband Terry of Sesser, IL, Alice Wright and husband Bobby of Soddy Daisy; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Raper and husband Clyde of Farner, TN, Lois Sparks and husband George of Cleveland; brother, Leroy Verner and wife Jane of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Adam Harden officiating.  Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Anthony Lynn, Jonathan Lynn, Dustin Lasley, Dewayne Johnson, Brandon Brown, and Coby Brown serving as pallbearers.  Christopher Wright and David Millard will serve as honorary pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
