Mary Frances Lemons Mead

Mary Frances Rymer Lemons Mead, 76, of Birchwood, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 in a Chattanooga hospital.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Victory House of Prayer.  Before her retirement, she had worked at American Uniform and Sears Security.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jessie Doyle Lemons; parents, Andy Sylvester Rymer and Ollie Stamey Rymer; one brother, Jerry Rymer; and niece, Misty Rymer Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Riley Mead of Birchwood, Tennessee; daughter, Crystal Diane Fox and husband William (Bill) of Old Fort, Tennessee; brothers, Larry Rymer and Andy “Micky” Rymer and wife Brenda, all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Kathy Rymer of Cleveland, Joyce Lemons Bius and husband Danny of Murphy, North Carolina; special step-children, Nina Parker and husband Eddie of Cleveland, and Brian Stringham of Cleveland; three special god-sons, Eric, Shawn, and Kevin Bramblett; and several nieces and nephews also survive.  She also leaves behind two special grand-dogs, Rocky and Lacey.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Mitchell James and Reverend Micky Rymer officiating.   Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery with Shane Rymer, Brian Faulkenberry, Zane Moore, Robby Cross, Nat Cross, Eric Bramblett, and Joe Lemons serving as pallbearers.  Micky Rymer and Larry Rymer will serve as honorary pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.  The service will be live-streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home’s Facebook page for you to view.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the funeral home.
