Margaret Louise Horn

April 19, 1939 — February 18, 2021

Margaret Louise Horn, 81, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Louise was a member of Cohulla Baptist Church where she served as the church pianist. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to gospel music, gardening, and canning. She was known by her family and community for making the traditional Apple Stack Fruit Cakes at Christmas. Louise was a graduate of Polk County High School in the class of 1957. She retired from Maytag Corporation (formerly Magic Chef) after 36 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Nelia Alloway.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Norman Ronald “Ron” Horn; sisters, Helen Alloway Farner (Frank); brothers, David Alloway; sister in law, Wilma Horn Freeman; several nieces, nephews, and family friends.

A graveside service will be held at Flint Springs Presbyterian Church cemetery on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Herman Parker and Pastor David Evans officiating. Jeremy Alloway, Lee Alloway, Jeff Elrod, Brian Elrod, Blake Elrod, and John Farner will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cohulla Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
