Malea Wilson McClanahan, 70, passed away peacefully at her beloved farm on June 21st, 2024. Malea was born on June 7th, 1954, to Charles Wilson and June Blankenbaker Wilson in Salem, Indiana. She was the youngest of three sisters. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; step-father, Elbert McDowell; and her oldest sister Paula Wilson.
Malea loved her friends and her family fiercely. She cherished her pets, especially her horses, and was devoted to her farm. She was the proud owner and operator of Bonnie's Talk of the Town, TTT, and The Blue Line Tavern. During her time as proprietor, she loved all of her customers, no matter their background or circumstances. She will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and also as being honest and hard working. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Malea is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Jake McClanahan; daughter, Chanda Graig; son, Travis(Mary Beth) Graig; sister Dale(Jerry) McClellan, of Salem, Indiana; three granddaughters, Hannah(Ben) Hailer, Jordan Graig, and Dylan Graig; grandson, Samuel Mack Weathers; and one great granddaughter, Willow Rae Weathers.
A visitation for Mrs. McClanahan will be held at Poole Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26th, family will receive mourners beginning at 3:00 P.M. with a Chapel service at 6:00 P.M. Donations can be made in Malea's honor to the American Cancer Society.
