Madelyn Carol Newsome

Madelyn Carol Newsome, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at a local assisted living facility. She was born on May 2, 1945  in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Amelia Georgetta.  She was of the Christian faith, and had moved from Chicago to Cleveland in 1970.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Newsome; brother, Joey Georgetta.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Newsome and wife, Misty, Phil Newsome and wife, Beth, Ann Marie Johnson and husband, Darren, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Blake Newsome, Kaylee Newsome, Tymber Newsome, Joseph Newsome, Kateline Johnson, and Jacqueline Johnson; siblings, Louis Georgette and wife, Nancy of Chicago; nephews, Lovie Georgetta, and Anthony Georgetta; several nieces and nephews also survived.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Chancey officiating.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums in Chicago, Illinois. Due to the National Pandemic the service will be live streamed on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Facebook Page.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service.
