Linda Carol Vaught

Linda Carol Vaught, 79, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio and a current resident of Cleveland, TN for the past 55 years passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in a health care facility following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Linda was the daughter of the late Herman Wright and Bertha Watson. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Denton Watson; her husband of 57 years, Dewayne Vaught; daughter, Kim Vaught; brother, Mike Wright; and brother-in-law, Jim Miller.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Colette Mayton (Jamie); son, Aaron Vaught; sister, Pam Miller; grandchildren Brandon Mayton (Crystal) and Elizabeth Mayton; great grandchildren, Kamden, Kayleigh, Selena, Tanner, Nova, and Brandy; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda had a special place in this world. She took it upon herself to love and support her family on a daily basis by managing her household while her husband worked the grueling hours of a swing shift job. From the cooking to the cleaning to transporting kids, to doing laundry, she made sure everything was always in perfect order. She attended Westmore Church of God where she served her church in a number of ways and was always faithful to offer support in whatever area she felt there was a need. She was a true friend to everyone she met. She was a beloved mother to her three children who she adored and was a devoted wife to a husband that she loved unconditionally. But most of all, Linda loved her Lord and Savior, and let her light shine for him, even while going through the sufferings of her last days. No words can express the hole left in this world when God ushered her into His kingdom....but heaven has gained a true saint.

A Remembrance of Life service for all friends and family will be conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Westmore Church of God with Reverend Russell Coffey will be officiating.
