Laura Marie Thacker

Our dear mother, Laura Marie Thacker, 92, of Benton, Tennessee passed peacefully at home on October 4, 2019. Born on June 13, 1927 in Grundy, Virginia, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Thacker; parents, William Crawford and Cosby Jane Osborne of Vansant, Virginia; three sisters and eight brothers.  

She is survived by her daughters, Jane Thacker Wooten (Stanley) and Nancy Thacker Snook (Russell); her sons, Jason Thacker and Thomas Thacker (Shirley); grandchildren, Michael Snook, Anne Wooten Sorenson, Doug Wooten, Brittany Wooten, Jenna Thacker Haunty, Austin Thacker, and ten great-grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home, 3010 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland. A celebration of Marie’s life and home going will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7180 Lee Hwy, Cleveland with Russell Snook, Stanley Wooten, Dwight Crook, Dustin Loudermilk, James Woody, and George Green serving as pallbearers.
