Laura Albinus

September 17, 1936 — December 23, 2021

Laura Jean Albinus, 85, a longtime resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in Summerville, SC on December 23, 2021.  Laura Jean was an active member of the Ladd Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee prior to declining health, and moving to South Carolina.  She loved serving those in need and did not want anyone to go hungry.  To her family, Laura Jean was a most compassionate, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was fiercely devoted to her family and belief in God. Although her passing has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved her, there is confidence that she is with God, and no longer suffering in her earthly body.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Laura Saunders; and her beloved husband of 41 years, George N. Albinus. She is also preceded in death by her brother, James Saunders; and daughter-in-law, Neliza Albinus.

She is survived by daughter, Jean Nielsen and husband Eldon; son, George H. Albinus; brothers, Dean Saunders and John Saunders; sister, Phyllis Saunders; grandchildren, Jennifer Klich, Zachary Thurston, Benjamin Thurston, Danielle Albinus and Adam Albinus; David Nielsen; as well as great grandchildren, Gabriel, Naomi and Nate Klich, Katherine Thurston, Allie and Cassidy Nielsen.
