Kenneth Edward Morgenthaler, 51, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at a local hospital.
Kenney was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the 7th Infantry Regiment (Cottonbalers) during Desert Storm. He was an incredibly loving father and grandfather, a devout Christian who attended First Baptist Church, and a hard worker. He was truly the best husband anyone could ask for. Kenney was a certified welding inspector, had 34 years of sobriety, and enjoyed traveling for work with his wife and dog all over the country. He loved riding Harley motorcycles and was a member of the H.O.G.S. He passed away doing what he loved the most. Kenney was a “Cottonbaler by God, a damn fine soldier” until the end.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth A. Morgenthaler; he also joins his son in Heaven, Kyle Morgenthaler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Elizabeth Morgenthaler; mother, Jacquelyn M. Morgenthaler; children, Roland Gonzales, Grace Esquivel and husband, Michael, Cheryl Stuart and husband, Don; brothers, Steven Morgenthaler, and Phil Morgenthaler; grandchildren, Justin Esquivel, Sophia Esquivel, Cassidy Stuart, Ashley Stuart, Leah Stuart, and Elias Stuart; father and mother-in-law, John and Cheryl Prince; and brother-in-law, Jeremy Prince.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Full military honors, a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
