Karen Miller

December 11, 1962 — October 13, 2021

Miller, 58, a resident of Murphy, N.C., passed away Wednesday, October, 13,  2021 in Gainesville, GA.  Karen worked for many years as the assistant manager at Lake Forest Middle School cafeteria before retiring to the mountains of Murphy, NC.  There, she enjoyed spending her time with family and loving on her granddaughters.  A member of Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy, her hobbies included: Bible Studies, reading, working in her flower garden, taking care of her family, and spontaneous day trips with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Lester and Ona Keith; and John and Dorothy Day; her in-laws: Ernest and Gladys Miller, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She is survived by her parents: Arley and Betty Keith,  her husband, Terry Miller; daughter, Emily (Miller) Wampler and  son-in-law, Ryan Wampler; daughter, Lindsay Miller and fiancé, Tyler Lee; three granddaughters:  Briley, Oakley, and Hadley Wampler, along with a grandson on the way, due in January of 2022; brothers Anthony Keith and John Keith. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2:00 P. M..at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ross officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Dennis Miller, Larry Greene, Mike Johnson, Anthony Keith, John Keith, and Ryan Wampler serving as Pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.  The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
