Karen Sue Stacy Blevins

Karen Sue Stacy Blevins, age 56, of Sumiton, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at her home.  She loved God and her church family, and was a longtime member of Quinton Baptist Church in Sumiton.  She enjoyed gardening; working with her favorite flowers and plants.  She was a hair stylist and enjoyed doing the hair and nails for her many clients and friends.  Karen was studying to be an evangelist.  Karen served the Lord by working and serving the people at the Cordova nursing home and rehabilitation center.  She had a sweet and loving spirit and was very compassionate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Blevins; father, Thomas Stacy; and mother, Gaye Trent Smith.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sondra and James Teligades of Cleveland;  brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Duane and Kim Stacy of Virginia Beach, VA, Jimmy and Laurie Ginther of Texas; brother, Michael Ginther of Texas; step-mother, Linda Fox Loganville, GA; two nieces, Alex Teligades of Cleveland and  Catherine Teligades of Chattanooga; nephew, Yanni Teligades of Cleveland; three great nieces, Bella, Hazel, and Aletheia Teligades all of Cleveland; great nephew, Landon Teligades of Cleveland; Aunt Pam and Uncle Ken Knowles of Tennessee, Aunt Theresa and Uncle Ray Morgan of West VA, and Aunt Chris and Uncle Cletis Jackson of West VA; cousin, Chris Knowles of Tennessee; four grandsons, Jordan, Peyton, Landon, and Kaedon Blevins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Karen Blevins, Lowell and Cindy Blevins; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Joel Carden officiating.  Concluding service will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
