Judy Diane Banks, age 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 7, 1949, in Hamilton County, Tennessee, Diane lived a life full of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dewey Higenbottom and Bernice Hicks, as well as her cherished husband, Henry Banks. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Paul, Scotty, and Don Higenbottom, and sisters Kay Huckeba and Wilma Higenbottom Larue.
Diane’s legacy lives on through her devoted children: daughters Tina (Billy) Thomas and Tammy Ramsey Stephenson, and sons Gene (Meleah) Ramsey, Brian Banks, and Leon (Robin) Banks, all of Cleveland. Her memory is further carried on by her treasured grandchildren: Christina (Heath) Gladson, Ashley (Mark) Thomas, Sierra (Brandon) Arnold of Linden, NC, William "River" Stephenson, Mathew, Trevor, and Colton Ramsey, all of Cleveland. She was also blessed to be a proud great-grandmother to Caleb, Kasey, Elijah, Malakai, Saige, and Ocean, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She also leaves behind a special family friend, Hubert Ramsey, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will deeply miss her presence.
Diane found happiness in the simple joys of life — she loved shopping, fishing, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her warmth, humor, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She had a beautiful sense of style and took great pride in her appearance. She always made sure to look her best, a reflection of the grace and dignity with which she carried herself every day.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN, with Bishop Eddie Dobbs officiating the service. A graveside service will follow at Delano Cemetery, with a dove release to honor her memory.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mathew Ramsey, Trevor Ramsey, Colton Ramsey, River Stephenson, Heath Gladson, Toby Huckeba, Dale Huckeba, and Brandon Arnold.
Diane’s love and legacy will continue to live on through the generations she so deeply cherished. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
