Judith Ann Green

Judith Green, 81, of Georgetown, passed Friday, October 7, 2022. She was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church in Georgetown, TN. Judith was born to Joseph Carl Sneed and Frances Varnell Sneed July 20, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Meigs County and a retiree of the Hardwick Clothing in Cleveland. Judith adored her children, her numerous grandchildren and was a member of the Meigs county Fire and Rescue where she was a first responder for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; brother Billy Joe Sneed; sister Linda Carolyn Sneed Baynes. She is survived by husband Charles Wayne Green; daughter Mary Verlena Waters(David Weeks); daughter Mollie Ann Simmons(Kenneth Simmons); son Joe Newton Pendergrass Jr.(Lisa Williamson); grandchildren, Brandon Pendergrass, Erica Luna, Karlin Childs, Austin Simmons, Jacob Simmons; great-grandchildren, Marshall Howard, James Childs and Amber Grace Lee. She is also survived by her sister Mary Beth Hendrick as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home in Cleveland with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. The interment will follow immediately after the service at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood. Judith’s family will receive friends from 2:00- 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home Sunday afternoon. Serving as Pallbearers are Brandon Pendergrass, Karlin Childs, Austin Simmons, Jacob Simmons, James Howard and Carl Withrow.
