Joyce Tosh Curtis

Joyce Tosh Curtis, 83, of Cleveland, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Pulaski, TN, on November 6, 1938.  She was a member of South Cleveland Church of God and a devoted wife supporting her husband in his ministry.  She made everyone feel welcome in her home and prepared many meals for her family and friends.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years in 2019, Reverend William Ira Curtis; parents, Malcolm Tosh and Claris Tosh; daughter, Rachel Sue Walden; siblings, Margaret Tosh, Jewel Pitts, and Clyde Tosh; grandchildren, Christopher Woods and Melissa Danielle Woods.

She is survived by her four children, Jerry Curtis and wife Kim of Cleveland, LaShon Woods and husband Chris of Jefferson City, TN, Crickett Randolph of Cleveland, and Dawn Perry of Cleveland; son-in-law, Greg Walden; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Tisdale, Brandi Grant, Andrew Curtis, Lacey Woods Hassan, Jeremy Petree, Carissa McConnell, Nikki Randolph, Savanna Perry, Will Perry, and Drake Perry; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Houston Tosh of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in the chapel of South Cleveland Church of God with Reverend Chris Moody officiating.  Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jeremy Petree, Andrew Curtis, Will Perry, Drake Perry, Chris Woods, Peyton McConnell, and Jackie Daniel serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Sunday.
