John Albert Sheriff

John Albert Sheriff, 78, passed away, Friday, December 27, 2020 in a local hospital. He was of the Lutheran faith.  He was a 26 year veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Sheriff and Pearl Heist Sheriff; siblings Russell Sheriff, Robert Sheriff, Marilyn Clark; nephew Steven Shoener

Survivors include his wife of 37 years Mary Frances Uhl Sheriff of Cleveland; son Jeffrey D. Sheriff of Chattanooga; pet Molly; siblings Ellen Shoener of Goose Creek, SC, Virginia M. Birch (David) of Cleveland; nieces and nephews Tom Shoener, Jeanne Jones, Kathleen Finger, David Sheriff, Michael Sheriff, Renee Ruhlman, Albert Sheriff, Christopher Sheriff, Michelle Clark, and Audra Clark.

A graveside will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:30pm.
