John Mark Felts

John Mark Felts, 61, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in a local hospital.  He was of the Christian faith and was a huge advocate for homeless people and for people in low income housing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Felts and Mary “Mary Lou” Custer Felts; brother, Mike Felts; grandparents, Dallas Felts and Dora Ward Felts, Charles Custer and Mary Fawcett Bray; uncles, James Custer, Ed Price; and aunt Georgia Felts Price.

He is survived by two children, Christina Felts and Tabitha (Tabby) Simmons, both of Georgia; two sisters, Debbie Felts of Cleveland and Becky Hamm and husband Scott of Blaine, WA; five brothers, David Felts and wife Chitra of Lehigh FL, Pete Felts and wife Dee of Richmond, VA, Danny Felts and wife Diana of Chesterfield, VA, Phillip Felts and wife Paula of Talladega, AL; and Joey Felts and wife Krystal of Mechanicsville, VA; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Faith Memorial Church.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Reverend Jimmy DuPree officiating.  Danny Felts, Pete Felts, Phillip Felts, Brent Felts, Sawyer Lanham, and Tanner Jones will serve as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory.  A processional will go to the cemetery from the funeral home.
