Jaime Mary Dethero

September 7, 1955 — March 15, 2021

Jaime Mary Dethero, age 65, passed away March 15, 2021 at her home in Ooltewah.  She was an avid golfer and foodie. She enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, and the great outdoors.  She had a great sense of humor, always helping and pulling for the underdog.  She was also known for giving great sound advice.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Dorothy Owen; sisters, Barbara Coppinger, Trish Mills, and Jo Ann Long; and stepson, Carter Dethero.

She was a loving wife, partner, and best friend to her husband Boyd Dethero of Ooltewah; stepdaughter and stepson-in law, Dossie and Benjamin James of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; grandchildren, Maggie, Henry, and Allie James of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; sisters, Connie Mooney and Marilyn Malley; brother, John Owens; survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Father Michael Nolan officiating.  Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
