J. Ray "Bud" Cameron

Ray “Bud” Cameron, 77, a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church and Georgetown Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, particularly small mouth bass and rock fishing. He enjoyed his grandchildren and serving the Lord.

Bud volunteered at hospitals, church, and schools. He left this world in a better place.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deonne Cameron; and parents Gene and Willie Cameron.

He is survived by, two sons: Paul Cameron and wife, Crystal of Portland, TN, and Nathaniel Cameron and wife Kathryne of Birchwood, TN; brother, Rick Cameron of Lafayette, GA; sisters: Betty Swafford of Ringgold, GA, Charlene Dill of Chattsworth, GA, and Joan Hawkins of Rising Fawn, GA; grandchildren: Traiger and Devyn Cameron, of Birchwood, Cael, Brady, and Jordin Cameron of Portland; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and special family friends Al and Suzy Rogers.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday October 4, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow at McInturff Cemetery. Justin Nave, Al Rogers, Christian Rogers, Robert Powell, Austin Krantz, and Willie Shannon will serve as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are making our services available for you to view on Ralph Buckner Funeral Home’s Facebook page during the service time or at a later time. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday October 3, 2020 at the funeral home.
