Imogene McCarter Weber, 80, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:40pm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her daughter, Rita, son-in-law, Craig, and granddaughter, Alexis, by her side.
Imogene was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Lando and Mattie McCarter in February of 1943. She grew up in a Christian family, attending church most of her life. She married Fred Weber in November of 1962, in Ringgold, Georgia.
Imogene was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and Mamaw, who loved spending time with family and friends. She and Freddy were especially proud of being grandparents to their one and only granddaughter, Alexis.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lando and Mattie McCarter; her brothers, Robert McCarter and James McCarter; and her sister, Barbara Holt.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Weber; her daughter, Rita Lightfoot, and her husband, Craig; her granddaughter, Alexis Lightfoot; her brother, John McCarter and his wife, Wilma; and her brother-in-law, Gary Holt. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends also survive, all of whom she loved dearly and was blessed to have in her life.
The family will receive friends at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Craig Lightfoot officiating.
