Ida Marie W. Hartert, age 89, of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and companion who worked side by side with her husband of 57 years, Joseph N. Hartert, Sr. From construction work to co-owning and operating the store at B&B Marina, they built both a life and a legacy together. She was a faithful Christian whose life reflected her love for God, family, and hard work.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph N. Hartert, Sr.; her parents, A.G. and Thelma White; her siblings, Barbara Jean White Carroll, Dorothy Rose White Farris, Robert Julian White, Linda Faye White McConkey, and A.G. “Butch” White III; and her daughter-in-law, Lisa A. Hartert.
Marie is survived by her four children: daughter Sandy Hartert-Forshee and husband Terry; sons Ken and wife Donna, Ronnie, and Joe Jr. and wife Renae. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Christy Beasley, Angela Cowan, Stephanie Butler, James Faust, Dexter Hartert, Neil Hartert, Chassidy Goode, Kristen Hartert, and Brian Hartert; great-grandchildren: Echo Hall, Kaleb Cowan, Elise Case, Bryce Cowan, Jackson Hartert, Lakelynn Faust, Thomas Beasley, Emma Beasley, Uriah Hartert, Eli Hartert, Griffin Butler, and Ezra Goode; and great-great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Ruby; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home, 3000 Ralph Buckner Boulevard, Cleveland, with Father Michael Nolan officiating. Christian burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
