Howard A. Arp

Howard Arp, 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his residence. He was retired from Whirlpool. Howard enjoyed working on washers and dryers; to the community he was known as “Old Man Howard” or the washing machine man. He was also a shrewd business man, always searching for a bargain. He loved all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Andy and Ella Mae Arp; children, Nancy and Wayne Arp.

He is survived by fiancé, Brenda Williams of Cleveland; a special son, Jimmy Mingie of Cleveland; brother, Eugene Mingie of Cleveland; granddaughters, Jessica Arp and Jennifer Eady of Cleveland; 6 great grandchildren, Kayleigh Henderson, Levi Henderson, Elleighanna Arp, Hunter Eady, Walker Eady, and Charity Eady; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joshua Grubbs officiating . Pallbearers include, Calvin Flowers, Jerry Arp, Justus Lockhart, Jaron Lockhart, Nicholas Raymond and Ralph Arp.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
