Henry James Gray, Sr.

Henry J. Gray, a longtime resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  Henry was born in Dalton, GA where he later joined the U. S. Army.  After his service, he met Georgia in Chattanooga TN.  After she moved to California, he hitchhiked across the country to be reunited with her and begin their life together.  Henry will be missed by all who knew him. 

He was raised by Earnest and Edith Ratcliff of Ocoee TN

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Georgia Carol Gray, as well as their four children:  Joyce A. Sandoval; Henry J. Gray, II, (Melody); Troy A. Gray (Heidi); Eric W. Gray (Ashley).  He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his two brothers, Tommy Green and Jack Green of Dalton, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. at Big Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. John Tudor officiating.
