Harvey Eugene Dale

Harvey Eugene Dale, 91, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in a healthcare facility in Dalton, GA, surrounded by his family.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Harvey spent his life as an upholsterer.  He was considered as one of the best and retired from Miller Furniture Company.  He loved fishing and making a garden.  After he retired he enjoyed sitting on his porch feeding the birds and squirrels and “shooting the bull” with his neighbor Johnny Dillard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Dale and Amanda Dale; wife, Nellie Jo Cupp Dale; sons, Lamar and Allen Dale; sister, Gussie Pullin; brothers, Chester, Warren, Oscar, John, and Sherman Dale.

He is survived by his son, Tony Dale and wife Sue of Chatsworth, GA; five grandchildren, Tony Dale, Jr., Crystal Waldron, Kevin Dale, Julie Tipton, and Charles Dale; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Cheathem officiating.  Interment will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with Jerry Dale, William Dale, Arthur Dale, Charles Dale, Tony Dale, Jr., and David Howard serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
