Greta Jones Dykes

Greta Jones Dykes, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in a local healthcare facility.   She was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan University and a retiree of the Bradley County school system.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed sewing and being a seamstress and doing needlework.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil W. Jones and Geneva Jewel Pack Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Gilbert Dykes, Jr.; son, Kenneth Dale Dykes, Sr. of Cleveland; grandsons, Dale Dykes and Austin T. Dykes, both of Cleveland; two sisters, Mary Ann Williams of White, GA, and Cecilia Lilly of Chattanooga.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Chris Rouse officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church food pantry.
