Glenn Thomas Moore, 76, a resident of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Athens, Tennessee.

He was born on May 2, 1944 in Calhoun, Tennessee to the late Edgar and Mary Belle Alloway Moore. He worked at Cleveland Utilities in the water division for many years and he was a member of Hiwassee Baptist Church of Calhoun for 56 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Betty Ruth Thomas and Jane Ann Evans; brothers, Billie Moore and J.L. Moore.

He is survived by his sisters, Dean Orr of Charleston and Ruby Cartwright of Cleveland; brothers, John H. Moore and Tom R. Moore both of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of his life will be conducted on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Stanley Liner and the Reverend Bill Sneed officiating. Interment will follow at Hambright Cemetery in Calhoun Tennessee with Mark Evans, Randy Liner, Justen Liner, Ray Shuster, Jerry Fain, and Roy Baker serving as pallbearers, a white dove release ceremony and playing of bagpipes concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 on Monday prior to the service.
